Taking driving lessons in the Southwark area

Bradleys are pleased to be able to give driving lessons in Southwark, Deptford, Peckham, Camberwell, Bermondsey and the surrounding areas. The cars our driving instructors use have dual control cars, many with air conditioning, and this helps to make your driving lesson experience as safe and comfortable as possible. Our driving instructors are trained to the DSA's national standards.

You will get a driving instructor who knows your area and will take you on driving lessons lovlly based and is able to book driving lessons that fit in with your times and availability. With a large driving school like Bradleys it means we have more instructors available in your areas who are likely to be able to meet your driving lesson needs.

Do I have a choice of Manual or Automatic cars?

Before deciding whether you want a manual or automatic car to learn to drive in please read our page giving some information on each type of car. Sadly we are unable to offer automatic cars in the Southwark area. It is worth noting that as Bradleys expands in the Southwark area we will be adding new cars and instructors on a regular basis. Please check back for more details.

Can I have a female instructor for my driving lessons?

At present we're only able to offer male driving instructors covering driving lessons in the Southwark area. We're fast growing in this area and this could change on a week to week basis as we recruit more driving instructors in these areas. Please ring the office for the latest information.

Are there other pupils in the car with me?

We do not "piggy back" other pupils in the car with you. You're paying for the driving instructors time; we do not feel it is fair that you should share that time with other people.

On very rare occasions there may be a DSA Senior Examiner or senior member of Bradleys in the car with you, but you will be informed well in advance should this be the case.

How long are the driving lessons?

The normal length of one of our driving lessons is one hour although you can choose to do longer lessons. Some driving schools may insist you take a 2 hour driving lesson as a minimum. If you are new to driving you may want to consider taking a longer lesson to familiarise yourself with getting the car moving. Most driving instructors are happy to do lessons that are 1.5 hours long.

The price listed is for a one hour driving lesson. Other driving schools do quote lower prices but these generally are for shorter lessons of around 40 minutes or involving less driving time overall.

Do you offer discounts on blocks of driving lessons?

Discounts are available on block lesson bookings of 5, 10, 20 and 30 hours of driving lessons. Please check our Prices page for more information and exact prices.

As a large driving school we are also able to offer discounts on driving lessons for students and NHS workers as well as some special offers when booking driving lessons. It is worth checking back regularly to see what offers we may have added.
